Seeking a Very Special Home for Two Very Special Cats
We are desperately searching for a special needs home for two cats that were previously adopted as kittens. The two were brother and sister kittens rescued on the streets of Lowell back in September 2006. Their names are Angie and Fritz. Their adopters moved to Georgia, and are now divorcing, and both are moving to “no pets are allowed” housing. This is extra heartbreaking for Angie and Fritz as they are shy and will be crushed because they are given up from the only home they have ever really known. Angie has already lived through a life threatening surgery to repair a diaphragmatic hernia where one of her organs had attached itself to her heart. She also luckily lived through an emergency visit to the vets where she had difficulty breathing because of fluid build up around her heart. She has since been diagnosed with a heart condition requiring two medications each morning.
Their person has written: “Both Angie and Fritz were feral kittens before we adopted them from Kitty Angels. Fritz is still very shy; however, once he is used to someone he comes out, walks around, asks for a treat and maybe plays with a toy on a stick as long as the person doesn’t move too quickly. The girl, Angie, is a sweetheart. Every morning and evening she jumps on the bed and wants to be pet and scratched and get belly rubs. Both are comfortable hanging out on their scratch post while we are hanging out in the room with them. I know that her medical problem and their shyness make it very hard to find a home. I feel awful giving them up.”
The absolute best thing for these two adorable cats would be to go into either an immediate loving forever home. We are desperately looking for a patient, loving, and dedicated placement for these two beautiful and special kitties. They have had more than their share of unfortunate circumstances in their short little lives and deserve to live the rest of their lives out surrounded by love in a safe and secure home - together. If you, or someone very special that you know might be that home for Angie and Fritz, please contact us .
Can't adopt Angie and Fritz but would still like to help? Please consider dedicating a donation to Kitty Angels in their honor.
