How to Adopt
We have regular Adoption Days at the PETsMART store in the Royal Ridge Mall in Nashua NH (Exit 1 off Route 3, at the intersection of Spit Brook Road and Daniel Webster Highway - see Map).
We are usually at PETsMART every other Saturday, unless it is a major holiday - check the News page or Facebook for the current schedule. Our hours there are typically 11-2. If you have questions or need directions (see map), call us or PETsMART at 603-888-7599.
You may also contact us by e-mail or call us at 978-649-4681 to arrange to see any of the cats we have for adoption or to ask if we have cats available that suit your preferences. We do not have a central shelter site - volunteers serve as foster parents to the cats and keep them at their homes.
All cats are neutered (unless medical problems or extreme youth prevent it), are current on vaccinations, wormed, microchipped, and have been tested for FeLV and FIV.
If you are a renter, please bring a copy of your rental agreement or letter from your landlord stating that you are allowed to have pets in the apartment/house.
If you decide to adopt one or more cats, we will ask you to fill out a questionnaire and a contract. Among the terms of this contract are that you must agree to keep any cat you adopt from us indoors at all times, to not have the cat declawed without our written permission, and to return the cat to us if at any time you no longer want to care for the cat. The adoption fee of $200 per cat goes entirely towards our expenses of caring for the cats. Payment may be made by cash, check, or Venmo - credit cards are not accepted. Please bring a cat carrier, or you can purchase one at PETsMART if you're there for an Adoption Day.
Kittens
In New England, kittens are typically born beginning late Spring into the fall. We place kittens for adoption when they are old enough to be nuetered or spayed, which is approximately three to four months old. We often have older kittens, 6-12 months, throughout the year.
- Note that we usually don't put kittens on our Featured Felines pages because they are adopted so quickly. If you specifically want a kitten, e-mail us and let us know what you're looking for. If we have what sounds like a good match, we'll be in touch to let you know. We do not keep a waiting list if we don't currently have a match.
